To keep a Monstera healthy, place it in bright, indirect light and water only when the top 5cm of soil feels dry.

Light

• Put the plant near an east-facing window for ideal morning light.

• Use a spot a few feet back from south or west windows to prevent leaf burn.

• Avoid harsh direct midday sun, which turns leaves brown or orange. 

Watering

• Check the soil depth with your finger before you add water.

• Water thoroughly until liquid flows out of the bottom drainage holes.

• Empty the saucer so the roots never sit in standing water.

• Reduce watering frequency during the slower winter months
